The Senior Manager, Scientific Communications, will lead a team that leads the development and supports the execution of the strategic medical science and medical education initiatives. The incumbent will provide medical and scientific therapeutic area expertise to cross-function teams and completes deliverables in support of Interventional Cardiology product strategy. This role will largely focus on clinical and scientific data generation and dissemination to a variety of constituents and will work globally and cross-functionally to ensure relevance and timeliness in content delivery. Work Mode: This is a Maple Grove, Minnesota based hybrid role with 3 days in office when not traveling for customer engagements. Visa sponsorship: Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take sponsorship of an employment visa at this time. Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Develop and execute clinical data dissemination strategies and process to provide clinical evidence in the clinical community; globally Ensure team members develop a deep understanding of the clinical science supporting assigned product line Coordinate internally to develop, facilitate and track execution of longitudinal strategic publication plans in close partnership with scientific affairs, marketing, R&D and other internal constituents Oversee process for publication writing, submission and reviewer feedback, ensuring authors and internal voice is integrated and maintained where appropriate Lead a team of medical writers to develop and deliver content, both scientific manuscripts and podium presentations in collaboration with therapeutic area clinical scientists Stay up to date on industry wide relevant scientific content related to your product lines, regularly summarize and disseminate new studies, study results and messaging to internal teams Manage publication related activities associated with product(s) Provides Advisory Board leadership and support with content Identify KOLs within assigned therapeutic space, develop engagement strategies in partnership with other functional partners Develops strategic relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and therapeutic area leaders Provide direct leadership and professional growth of team members through guidance, coaching and development Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in medical device industry, or 5 years with advanced medical or scientific degree Ability to quickly interpret and digest clinical data Ability to travel up to 30%, both domestically and internationally Proven customer facing experience, KOL engagement/relationship building with demonstrated examples Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in scientific publications and being able to provide demonstrated examples Previous and proven experience in a global role Ability to determine resource needs to support cross-divisional projects through internal and external resources
