Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Worldwide is seeking an Admissions Evaluator at our Worldwide Headquarters located in Daytona Beach Florida. In accordance with University policies, procedures and accreditation agencies' rules and regulations, as a member of the New Admission Evaluations team, the selected candidate will evaluate prior learning and experience to award appropriate graduate and undergraduate credit toward fulfillment of degree requirements. This role supports excellence in student service at every opportunity, while also supporting academic quality in our teaching and learning environment. This individual will work independently, but also as part of the evaluation team, and the overarching admissions department, to support the overall mission and vision of the University. Job Responsibilities: Evaluate all course work completed at other U.S. and foreign postsecondary institutions, previous experience, military and civilian training, certificates and credit-by-examination scores. Evaluators will determine authenticity and determine equivalency to ERAU courses and applicability to ERAU degree programs. Evaluators are responsible for meeting productivity goals and maintaining designated departmental turnaround times. Evaluators are also responsible for keeping up to date with degree programs, minors, areas of concentration, specializations, and tracks requirements, and for keeping up with curriculum changes twice annually. Determine when global course equivalencies should be established and builds the global course equivalencies in the Campus Solutions (CS) student information system to allow for evaluators to conduct more efficient evaluations long-term. Responsible for staying up to date with all curriculum changes and utilizing all training materials, to include the Curriculum Standards Manual (CSM), Procedures & Operations Manual (POM), Microsoft Teams reference materials, Transfer Equivalency Service (TES), American Council on Education (ACE), and other internal and external reference materials. Remain current on relevant evaluator technology, to include, but not limited to, Campus Solutions (CS), Imaging Workflow, Salesforce Cases, Microsoft Office Suite, and other applicable systems. Counsel internal constituents on degree curriculums, academic regulations, graduation requirements, procedures, policies and the interpretation of the official evaluation form. Assists with updating excel evaluation files twice annually to ensure campuses and advisors have access to accurate degree planning materials. Performs unofficial advising reports, as needed, to best assist prospective students and applicants who are determining the best option for degree completion. Perks Await You at Embry-Riddle! Required Education and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree) Required, skills, knowledge abilities: Analytical skills, in-depth knowledge of, and technical expertise with Campus Solutions, Imaging, Microsoft operating systems, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, OneNote, Outlook, etc... General knowledge of accepted academic practices at other institutions. Must develop a detailed knowledge of ERAU academic policies, procedures, standards and curricula. Ability to use judgment and critical thinking skills essential to research and complete an assessment of individuals' prior learning and education, as in the use of military guides, foreign texts, and ACE publications. Understand and operate varied University computer equipment and software after a brief orientation period. This requires basic knowledge of technology principles and concepts, as well as an understanding of Microsoft Office products, imaging software, etc. Ability to interact with students, faculty and staff in a helpful and professional manner. Possess the ability and knowledge to conduct detailed analyses of academic records. Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff, students and faculty. Provide excellent customer service to co-workers, staff, students, faculty and customers. Maintain cooperative working relationships with supervisor/manager and other staff members at all times.
