The CS Remote Sales Rep sells Medtronic's Cardiac Surgery Group products remotely & retains end-user patients within an assigned geographic area and/or specific customer accounts for pre-defined territory locations in this office-based role. Based on territory coverage, the ideal candidate will reside in the Pacific/Central Regions of the United States. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Remotely sells Medtronic's CS products and retains end-user patients within an assigned geographic area and/or specific customer accounts for pre-defined territory locations to achieve or exceed assigned sales goals. Identify, develop and close leads for the business and refer on internal leads when appropriate. Provides input on new markets, new product introductions, and existing products or supplies. Promotes and establishes education of the company's products and/or services. Manages and responds to customer concerns and problems. Arranges demonstration of products by field sales representatives. Assists the field sales representatives in the planning and execution of sales activities as well as providing on-going sales support including sales calls, data analysis, customer opportunities, and sales rep follow-up. MUST HAVE: IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, THE FOLLOWING BASIC QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE EVIDENT ON YOUR RESUME Bachelor's degree 5+ years of experience in sales, contracts, training, clinical, marketing, customer/tech services, customer education or other customer facing role/experience. 2+ years in the medical/health industry NICE TO HAVE: (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS) 5+ years experience in health care sales Sales in medical devices, capital equipment sales, surgical sales or in-hospital pharmaceuticals Practical knowledge of sales techniques, strategies & relationship building Demonstrated ability to work independently & drive results Documented sales success Degree in biological science or business preferred Business planning skills Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to teach & educate medical personnel, peers & technical support personnel Demonstrated ability to grasp use of technology & applications (ie., iPad, SalesForce.com, SAP); PC literate Knowledge &/or experience with hospital, cath lab, physician settings Experience selling complex products over the phone SALES PROFESSIONAL CAREER STREAM: Typically sales professional individual contributors with direct sales responsibilities. May direct the work of other lower level sales professionals or manage sales processes and/or accounts involving multiple team members. The majority of time is spent establishing and maintaining customer relationships, developing new customer relationships, implementing sales strategies and closing sales. Secures and maintains product distributions and/or services, and maintains effective agreements. Works independently with limited supervision. Builds a network of relationships. Innovation and Complexity: Makes improvements of sales processes, and tools to enhance performance of the job area. Recommends changes in account strategy and tactics to achieve sales goals. Communication and Influence: Influences internal contacts (within the job area) and external suppliers, customers and/or vendors regarding policy, practices and procedures. Communicates with external suppliers, customers and/or vendors, involving advanced negotiation and/or presentations in order to manage relationships and close sales. Leadership and Talent Management: Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignment. May be responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other sales professionals and/or support employees. May manage large accounts at this level, requiring responsibility for the delegation of work and the review of others' work product. Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through education combined with broad sales experience. Career-level sales representatives, who are fully qualified, experienced professionals.
