The Director of Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for providing strategic direction and daily oversight of the safety, manufacturing, and facilities functions within a pharmaceutical packaging equipment manufacturing environment. This role ensures seamless coordination across departments to meet business goals, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements. The Director will lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, custom-engineered equipment on time and within budget, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and safety. Pharmaworks, a Pro Mach Company is seeking a dynamic Director of Operations to lead our production, project management, and facilities teams. This high-impact role will shape strategy, drive operational excellence, and ensure alignment with corporate goals and customer expectations. Key Responsibilities: Lead daily operations across manufacturing, project execution, and facilities. Develop strategic plans, budgets, staffing models, and KPIs. Champion lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure regulatory compliance (OSHA, ISO, cGMP) and workplace safety. Oversee cross-functional project execution from kickoff to delivery. Serve as a senior advisor to internal departments and a point of escalation for key issues. Drive accountability, performance management, and team development. Qualifications: Required:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, or related field. 5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing or engineering management. Proven success in cross-functional leadership within capital equipment/custom machinery. Strong knowledge of lean, ERP systems, and manufacturing metrics. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Preferred:
PMP certification. Experience in regulated industries (pharma/life sciences). ISO 9001 and cGMP compliance background. PE license. What's in it for you?
