The EHS Manager is accountable for providing leadership and guidance to achieve world-class EHS performance. They will offer advice to the JLL management team regarding workplace safety, assess potential hazardous situations and environmental impacts, conduct accident investigations, and site inspections, and ensure that JLL complies with all statutory and client requirements. The main responsibility of this role is to develop, implement, maintain, and continually improve proactive health and safety programs. The ultimate goal is to foster a cultural transformation towards zero incidents and injuries. The EHS Manager will also review programs, policies, plans, and specifications to ensure that EHS compliance issues are effectively addressed. It is crucial for the individual in this position to stay well-informed and up to date on federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. Moreover, they will provide guidance to the local Site Leadership Team to ensure compliance with these requirements. What your day-to-day will look like: Evaluates and identifies standards and controls for safety and health hazards. Monitors compliance with regulations and company standards. Provides day-to-day health, safety, industrial hygiene and environmental support and guidance / solutions to facility personnel to maintain a safe work environment consistent with company policy and state and federal regulations. Lab safety experience is a plus. Performs EHS inspection audits and reviews investigation reports to ensure that corrective & preventive actions will eliminate recurrence. Responsible for injury reporting, investigating and a tracking system along with associated involvement in workers compensation activities. Responsible for classroom training programs in terms of scheduling and conducting training
LO/TO, CSE, Fall Protection, Forklift and Aerial Lift. Reviews and approves JHAs/PTPs to maintain a consistent safe work environment. May support the development of JHAs as needed. Create site-specific safety procedures or work instructions to align with JLL and/or BMS expectations. Assist in the assurance of compliance with internal and client related audit programs and expectations. Drive the implementation of programs and initiatives necessary to foster a strong EHS culture. Proven track record of success executing high hazard prevention programs; specifically: LO/TO, electrical safety, confined space entry and work at heights. Completes and reviews legal requirements and risk assessments on a regular basis to identify and manage compliance and hazards. Responsible for some 3rd party contractors to ensure compliance with BMS Standards. Responsible to review annual EHS programs. Responsible to manage all EHS programs as it relates to JLL staff and subcontractors. Lead and develop an EHS Specialist. Set and communicate clear expectations and ensure quality execution of standard work and client requirements. Compiles, analyzes, and interprets statistical data; prepares comprehensive recommendations for corrective action to eliminate or minimize potential hazards. Continually re-evaluate the current programs and initiatives and analyze available metrics with the intent to proactively identify gaps and refine and enhance existing EHS platform. Provide for EHS performance data contributing to account wide EHS performance dashboard. Relationship Management. Clear understanding and articulation of Safety Management Systems
leadership commitment, accountability, effective communication, auditing and performance metrics. Develops strong working relationships with site Management. Maintain liaison with client EHS organization to ensure that EHS problems are identified, and solutions coordinated. Coordinate/support and track response to routine and emergency air quality (IAQ)/mold/environmental events. Assist in execution of client storm-water management programs. Conduct regular inspections as part of site permit requirements. Work Schedule: Dayshift + On Call Availability Required Required Qualifications: Degree in safety management, industrial hygiene, environmental science, or relevant field with 5+ years professional level H&S management experience. Excellent verbal, written communication, problem-solving and report writing skills. Able to work on a fast paced and rapidly changing work environment. Must have thorough knowledge of Federal, State, and Local HS laws and regulations. A proven record of making presentations and providing effective training. Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills. Willingness to support other local sites as needed. A client service-oriented attitude, with a focus on providing exceptional service to clients. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders. Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively. Proficiency in advanced computer skills and office software to efficiently perform job tasks. Willingness to support other local sites as needed. Preferred Qualifications: 1st Aid, CPR & AED Instructor training a plus. Previous experience working in life sciences environment desired. Experience with FDA a plus. Estimated total compensation for this position: 89,700.00
