AWS Serverless Dedicated Cloud Engineer
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is transforming the landscape of distributed systems with our Serverless technologies, including AWS Lambda, Containers (EKS, ECS, ECR), EventBridge, API Gateway, and PrivateLink. These services are vital for our Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) customers, providing them with secure and robust cloud solutions. We are looking for a skilled engineer to join our team in Seattle, WA. In this role, you will design, implement, and manage scalable cloud solutions for ADC customers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the next generation of cloud technologies. We're looking for a technical expert for one of the largest compute services on the planet; if you possess that rare mix of depth in Operations, Networking, and Systems Engineering then we are waiting for your application. This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work. Key job responsibilities: Investigate new methods to enhance operations and devise innovative solutions to tackle technically complex cloud issues for ADC customers, with a focus on Lambda, API Gateway, and PrivateLink. Identify and analyze system variances that could potentially impact major services globally, and proactively address them before they affect customers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and resolve service inter-dependencies and region-specific configurations related to Lambda, API Gateway, and PrivateLink. Adapt and refine operations, processes and management systems to support the rapid and continuous growth of our systems and traffic in ADC environments. Monitor and maintain the health of the serverless fleet, automating system health checks, maintenance tasks, and reporting systems to ensure fault tolerance and minimize operational disruptions. A day in the life: On a typical day as an Amazon Dedicated Cloud Engineer (ADCE), you will coordinate with internal service teams to manage systems health and status, deployment, configuration and other issues, influence and implement improvements to systems design, and provide on-call support when necessary. About the team: The Serverless ADC team is a dynamic group of customer-obsessed Systems Engineers and System Development Engineers. With extensive production experience, our operational focus uniquely enables us to create automation, tooling and software solutions that are reliable, efficient and scalable. Our mission is to minimize operational burden by developing scalable infrastructure elements that grow with our services, ensuring we consistently deliver an exceptional and world-class experience for our customers. Why AWS: Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world's most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform. We pioneered cloud computing and never stopped innovating

from foundational services such as Amazon's Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS's services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you'll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services. Inclusive Team Culture: Here at AWS, it's in our nature to learn and be curious. Our employee-led affinity groups foster a culture of inclusion that empower us to be proud of our differences. Ongoing events and learning experiences, including our Conversations on Race and Ethnicity (CORE) and AmazeCon conferences, inspire us to never stop embracing our uniqueness.
