Outreach Service Technician
Rivers Health is seeking a part-time outreach service technician. This position is responsible for receiving, verifying and processing outreach laboratory orders from outreach facilities/nursing homes utilizing the Hospital's outreach services. Essential Job Functions: 1. Receives and assures accuracy of outreach laboratory specimens, verifies demographics, registers patients with high rate of accuracy. Takes messages from outreach facilities/nursing homes and forward timely and accurately to Coordinator of Outreach Services or other appropriate hospital personnel/department. Perform other clerical department duties as assigned or requested. Follows safety and infection control policies of the laboratory and all other hospital and department policies and procedures. Participates in all mandated inservice programs on an annual basis. Demonstrates excellence in customer service skills. Fosters an atmosphere of teamwork and collaboration. Participates in quality improvement activities including serving on quality improvement teams. Complies with Corporate Policies, Departmental Policies and Procedures and Employee Handbook. Utilizes centrifuge as needed. Other duties that may be assigned. Scan documents as needed. Assist with client billing, SVI as needed.
