Amergis is currently seeking experienced PCU RNs for travel assignments in Greensboro, NC. Position Details: Contract Length: 13 weeks Number of Openings: 5 Start Date: 8/5 Hours/Shifts/Schedules: 36 hrs/wk, Days and Nights available Every other weekend, every other holiday Requirements: ACLS, BLS, NIH required. Cardiac Tele exp required. Management and Interpretation of dysrhythmias Peripheral Line Care/Mgmt, PICC line mgmt Titrate drips MUST HAVE EXP WITH PCU Ratios

1:5 The Progressive Care Unit RN, as a professional practitioner, assumes the responsibility and accountability for delivering patient care to telemetry/progressive care patients. The Progressive Care Unit RN demonstrates the ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with supervision. This individual employs critical thinking and performance ability in the coordinator of patient care, consistently performs according to nursing standards, and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care. The Progressive Care Unit RN is sometimes also called a step-down nurse, cardiac stepdown, neuro stepdown, surgical stepdown and in some medical centers, the PCU is also known as a transition or intermediary unit.
