We have a career opportunity for a Civil/LA site/land development project manager with a proven track record of successfully managing a broad range of projects. In this role you will both self-perform and direct project teams in the planning and design of civil site/land development projects, as well as play an important role in managing client relationships. You will also contribute to strategic initiatives that drive the growth of the civil site/land development group. This position will have a hybrid work schedule and, when in the office, will work from our Glastonbury, CT office. The impact you will have: Manage multiple, concurrent civil site/land development projects for municipal, public, and private clients Establish project goals and milestones, define responsibilities, coordinate resources, and monitor project progress Provide direct supervision and overall leadership for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and client needs Assume ownership of project financials, optimizing resource allocation and budget management to maximize profitability and client satisfaction Develop project scope, schedule, and budget, integrating them into work plans to streamline project execution and enhance efficiency Ensure the development of high-quality engineering documents Adhere to all internal procedures for quality control, documentation, and project tracking Contribute to other project work as a technical specialist or advisor, as needed Attend municipal meetings for project approvals Mentor junior staff What you will need: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Landscape Architecture from an accredited university program or related discipline required PE or PLA/RLA License required 10+ years of experience in designing/managing land development projects Thorough understanding of state and regional design standards Excellent communication skills, verbal and written Understand the planning and design process, how to prepare and organize a set of drawings, and deliverables that typically are associated with each phase of design Accountable for full project deliverables A track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules Ability to work effectively in a team environment Benesch is firmly committed to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and prohibits employment discrimination for employees and applicants in all protected groups, including veterans and individuals with disabilities, or other status protected by federal, state, and local laws.
