Index Governance Specialist
The Index Governance Specialist will be an integral member of the Index Governance team. This role will have visibility and interaction with all team members across the Index business and will routinely interact with and present to Senior Management. Key areas of responsibility and opportunity include: supporting and advising on all Index based controls and processes; representing and supporting the Governance team across Index Committees and the Technology Transformation project, developing and managing key communications, coordinating and collaborating with regulators and internal Second and Third Line of Defense functions on behalf of the Global Index business. Responsibilities:
Responsibilities: Strategic thinker and leader responsible for introducing and implementing technological and operational best practices and enhancements across all areas of the Index business. Oversee Index related processes and controls and the tracking and reporting of their performance. Leading the identification, escalation, assessment, and mitigation of risks across the Index organization, driving continuous improvement. Serve as an Index business Technology liaison and partner with Regulators, Auditors, Risk Management and Compliance on all regulatory matters impacting the Global Index Business. Evaluate and track all open technology issues to assist owners with progress and resolution of corrective actions. Partner with and advise Index stakeholders on strategic best practices related to automated processes, controls and supporting documentation. Assist Index stakeholders with the capture, documentation and organization of control evidence in a sustainable and transparent manner. Partner with and advise Index stakeholders on streamlining metric-based reporting leveraging automated reporting tools (Tableau, PowerBI etc.) and workflows (Appian, Jira, Monday.com etc.). Preparing and presenting comprehensive reports on technology related governance issues and progress to senior management and committees. Perform other strategic projects or duties as assigned by supervisor and/or Global Index executives. Skills We Seek:
Skills we seek: 5+ years of technology, project or consulting based experience within the financial services industry. Demonstrated experience successfully counseling and advising senior business leaders. Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent work experience. Demonstrated experience successfully implementing reporting initiatives in complex environments. Ability to analyze and assess the adequacy of technology controls to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains. Understanding of regulatory requirements including IOSCO Principles for Benchmarks and BMR. Strong understanding of the Index business and regulatory challenges that impact the industry. Experience and understanding of financial markets, securities and industry data. Extremely effective communication skills, both spoken and written. Track record of working successfully both independently and with a team. Highly motivated with evidence of intellectual curiosity and creativity. Well organized and able to complete multiple, time-sensitive projects at once. Demonstrated success and experience managing complex issues to resolution within changing environments. This position will be located in Philadelphia and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment (at least 3 days a week in office, subject to change), providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
