As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will be a critical contributor to the success of the North American Business Unit, providing financial leadership, allowance and rebate management, and insights to drive revenue growth. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, Revenue, you will work cross-functionally to manage month-end close activities related to rebate accrual, manage the entire process of allowance forecasting and accruals, develop customer insights, and proactively identify risks and opportunities against targets. This role demands strong financial analysis skills, experience working with large data sets, and the ability to interpret customer contracts as it relates to allowance and discounts. You will be expected to clearly communicate financial concepts to all levels of the organization, manage ambiguity, drive continuous process improvements, and deliver results that support strategic objectives. Responsibilities
Own and manage the end-to-end allowance and rebate process for North America, including forecasting rates, maintaining accrual files, overseeing customer rebate calculations, and ensuring timely rebate payouts. Lead the development of detailed allowance analysis for US, Canadian, and Flow Control Business Units, culminating in a consolidated view by WD5 and provide an executive summary. Lead monthly allowance insights meetings with leadership to ensure alignment on MTD, QTD, and YTD actuals versus budget and forecast, and to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities to achieve financial targets. Develop and maintain the NAM allowance consolidation template to provide transparent variance analysis and actionable insights. Maintain an inventory of customer rebate contracts and proactively ensure cross-functional alignment around rebate calculations, contract interpretations, and subsequent payout timing. Drive the actualization of allowance forecasts for key customers, facilitating monthly calls with sales leadership to understand business trends and future projections. Own Canada's OTDS and inventory metric development and reporting Lead and support the ongoing Quality of Earnings project by developing and maintaining consistent global definitions for net sales components. Support month-end closing processes, including net sales reporting, variance analysis, and dashboard updates. Collaborate closely with the Business Intelligence Center of Excellence to develop and automate reporting and KPI dashboards around allowances and rebates. Maintain standardized process documentation related to allowance and rebate processes, including deliverables calendar and key workflows. Provide monthly/quarterly net sales reports and flux analysis and conduct ad hoc analysis for earnings release preparation to ensure transparency and executive visibility. Drive thought leadership by identifying trends, evolving strategies, and recommending process improvements across the organization. Contribute to pro-forma modeling efforts supporting customer growth strategies and new business opportunities. Qualifications
Capabilities Basic understanding of accounting concepts Familiar in Power BI, Snowflake, OneStream, and Microsoft 365 tools for financial reporting and analysis. Advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formula building. Strong ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and manage projects under tight deadlines. Skilled in interpreting and synthesizing business partner ideas into financial perspectives and actionable insights. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and partner with Executive Leadership. Ability to solve problems, think strategically, and drive innovation across finance processes. Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a high level of ambiguity. Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical thinking. Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (advanced business degree preferred). 5+ years of relevant finance experience.
