Interfaces directly with clients to obtain insurance and billing information and make sure clients are aware of their estimated financial responsibility for our services. At times, we also collect payments or co-pays. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Interfaces directly with clients to obtain insurance and billing information and make sure clients are aware of their estimated responsibility based off of the most recent benefit verification. Maintain daily client schedules & maintains a daily report log. Prepares admission intakes for new clients using financial admissions procedures; obtains all required signatures. Enters demographics in the financial bundle of Avatar system. Verifies insurance benefits and third party pay or sources, and enters them in Avatar at the time of admission. Inputs A/R notes with pertinent data needed for accurate billing of client accounts. Keeping clients/or family of clients informed of plan changes. Daily insurance verification by assigned guarantor. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods. Must have excellent data entry, organization, and outstanding customer service skills. Should be a strong independent worker capable of multi-tasking. Understanding of medical terminology and standard insurance forms. Ability to remain calm and professional, even in emergency situations. Bilingual a plus (English/Spanish). Qualifications Education Level

High school diploma or GED required. Years of Experience

Previous experience with insurance billing and verification (commercial, Medicaid, Medicare). Physical Requirements
