Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU 24 hrs. Biweekly, 630pm - 7am The Meritus Intensive Care Unit is currently seeking compassionate nurses to join our dedicated team! Our 24 bed Intensive Care unit cares for a diverse patient population with a wide range of complex and critical health needs. As part of our team, you'll provide essential care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, while upholding our core values of integrity, quality, community, and teamwork. 4W Critical Care nurses are skilled in ambulating intubated patients, managing intra-aortic balloon pump management, performing continuous renal replacement therapy and assisting with rapid sequence intubation. Requirements: Education - ASN required. BSN Preferred. Previously grandfathered active RN's who graduated from an accredited nursing school as a Diploma RN will continue to have ASN requirement waived. Experience - Minimum of one year of experience in a hospital setting required. Licensure/Certification - Specialty certification recognized by the Magnet Recognition Program preferred. Current license to practice as Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland, or if resident of a state that participates in Nurse Multi-State Compact agreement, holds Registered Nurse License from that state that is designated as "Compact" or "Multi-State Privilege" using primary source verification and provides additional documentation as required by the Maryland Board of Nursing. RN License from a compact state with a designation of "Single State" does not meet the requirement and nurse must obtain a Maryland license. Specialty certification preferred. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Ability to apply the standards of professional nursing practice with compassion and empathy. Basic computer skills required. Must possess a high level of organization and communication skills.
