Primary responsibility is to perform basic functions for custom fire and rescue vehicles utilizing power and hand tools. Plumbing:

Perform duties to prep and install plumbing components on fire apparatus Electrical:

Perform duties to assemble, install a range of basic electrical components and troubleshoot problems Rigging:

Perform duties to assemble and install basic accessories and hardware Mechanical:

Perform duties to assemble and install basic mechanical and hydraulic components on vehicles or aerial devices. Essential functions include ensuring manufacturing, quality, and safety requirements are met, working from schedules, manuals, wiring diagrams, shop orders, prints, pick lists, BOM's, photos, and instructions; becoming familiar with schematics, identifying and understanding basic plumbing, electrical and mechanical components, reviewing shop orders and similar materials, operating hand and power tools, and participating in LEAN and continuous improvement activities. Other duties may include performing or assisting with any operations, as required or directed to maintain work flow or respond to production requirements. Tools and equipment used include hand tools to include but not limited to: power tools, saws, impact wrenches, hand tools, grinders, belt sander, drill press, tape measure templates, and heat gun. Overhead crane and fabrication equipment such as punch presses, shears, and press brakes. Position expectations include following E-ONE General Health & Safety Rules, ensuring safe operating conditions, using proper lifting techniques, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, participating in hazardous communication training and safety meetings, being responsible for the quality of work, understanding the requirements of the company's quality system, identifying and segregating non-conforming product, identifying the need for and assisting in initiating and implementing corrective and preventive actions, being flexible in taking lunch and breaks, actively participating in continuous improvement, seeking out work in other areas, making suggestions for improving product quality, processes, safety, and company profitability, having a positive working attitude toward other employees, working with others constructively, working together as a team for continuous improvement, attending and participating in a variety of meetings, training programs, and task force groups, leading the team, providing innovative thought leadership on strategies to grow market share, increasing profitability, and meeting long-term business goals, enjoying working hard, being action-oriented and energetic, being good at focused listening, finding common ground and getting cooperation, coping with change, deciding and acting without having the total picture, being bottom-line oriented, pushing self and others for results, and being able to handle risk and uncertainty. Minimum requirements include a high school graduate or General Education Diploma, math and blueprint reading skills, basic skills in the area of interest, attention to detail, strong work ethic, basic computer skills, commitment to E-ONE quality standards, good problem-solving skills, and being a team player. Physical requirements include lifting/pushing/pulling up to 40 pounds frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds constantly, climbing ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, stooping, kneeling, crouching/crawling/reaching, standing for sustained periods, walking long distances, having visual acuity to perform mechanical tasks, and being subject to various hazards.
