This position exists to provide administrative management, supervision, and leadership for multiple academic departments/programs and serves as a member of the leadership and management teams. This includes developing and continually improving departments/programs, programmatic planning, and strategic scheduling, as well as managing resources and personnel effectively to meet program outcomes. This position supports student success by providing leadership to academic programs/departments through departmental workplans and program reviews. The position holder is also responsible for working with other college personnel to provide college-wide leadership and strategic planning and initiatives in achieving the college's strategic priorities. This includes participating on college and system committees and task forces and leading college initiatives. Finally, this position requires engagement with other educational institutions, community organizations, legislative governing bodies, business and industries, and other external stakeholders to meet the college mission and in accordance with collective bargaining agreement provisions per statewide and Minnesota State guidelines. Position responsibilities include: Faculty and staff supervision and development Support student success through departmental workplans and program reviews Strategic planning and initiatives. Engage in strategic and operational planning for the college, division, and academic departments. Strategic schedule. Collaborate with faculty and departments/programs to offer strategic scheduled based on data from the Academic Operations unit and input from relevant constituencies, needs analysis, and cost projections. Programmatic planning. Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop new and relevant academic programming based on data from Academic Operations unit and input from relevant constituencies, needs analysis, and cost projections. Industry and transfer pathway outreach and partnerships Budget development and management. Minimum qualifications include: Master's degree. Three or more years of higher education administrative experience or at least three years of progressively responsible experience in higher education. Demonstrated experience working with a diverse student population and proven understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion as critical components of academic excellence and student success. Excellent communication skills, i.e., verbal, listening, written, interpersonal, and public presentation. Experience in the areas of leadership, planning, enrollment management, program development and evaluation, staffing, budget management, and supervision. Experience with understanding broad strategic planning and the critical need for attention to detail with demonstrated abilities in effective critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making. Record of data informed decision-making including experience in analyzing multiple datasets and resources of information to make recommendations and implement solutions. Preferred qualifications include: Master's degree in related field for position posting or doctoral degree/ABD.
