Hardware Engineer
The Electrical Engineer will work under minimal supervision on new product development, as well as continuation engineering projects. The candidate will support the design and development, testing, and manufacturing of printed circuit assemblies and embedded microcontroller firmware, as needed, for a wide variety of products, sensors, and devices. Typical electrical system features include measurement and user controls, low power consumption, compact enclosure interfaces, and embedded systems. The successful candidate will possess a demonstrated knowledge and experience to apply standard engineering practices toward complex problem-solving associated with printed circuit assembly. Responsibilities
Design and develop printed circuit assemblies and embedded microcontroller firmware. Support testing and manufacturing processes for a variety of products, sensors, and devices. Apply standard engineering practices to solve complex problems related to printed circuit assembly. Ensure electrical systems meet features such as measurement and user controls, low power consumption, compact enclosure interfaces, and embedded systems. Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. 3+ years of product development experience from concept phase through launch phase, with leadership over the electrical hardware and firmware portion. Embedded hardware design experience with 32-bit microcontrollers, such as ARM, Cortex. Proficiency in low noise analog circuits to support precision sensors. Experience in low power DC/DC power supply and rechargeable battery systems. Experience in PSpice circuit simulation or equivalent. Proficiency in schematic capture, EMI/EMC and grounding principles, PCB design oversight, low-power analog design, and board-level circuit troubleshooting. Experience with analog to digital conversion, digital logic, memory, and signal processing. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. Design for Internet-of-Things or other network protocols and environments. Design of circuits supporting wireless technology. Design of battery power and charge circuits. Linux operating system knowledge. Experience integrating Field Programmable Gate Arrays and developing electronic control logic. Work Environment
The work environment is a hybrid model, with in-office presence required on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The facility is newly remodeled with a family-oriented culture, featuring open layout cubicles, clean labs, and conference rooms.
