Turner Industries Group is looking for a Lab Technician for maintenance work in Pass Christian, MS. This position will conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in making qualitative and quantitative analyses of solids, liquids, and gaseous materials for research and development of new products or processes, quality control, maintenance of environmental standards, and other work involving experimental, theoretical, or practical application of chemistry and related sciences. Rotating shift days & nights - 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM Must be able to pass background check TWIC Card Required No per diem available Functional Requirements: Conduct chemical or physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in making qualitative or quantitative analyses of solids, liquids, or gaseous materials, Maintain, clean, or sterilize laboratory instruments or equipment, Set up and conduct chemical experiments, tests, and analyses, using techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, physical or chemical separation techniques, or microscopy, Document results of tests and analyses, Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with standards and specifications, Prepare chemical solutions for products or processes, following standardized formulas, or create experimental formulas, Provide technical support or assistance to chemists or engineers, Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction Qualification Standards: Lab experience preferred or two college labs and one college Algebra class May be required to have working knowledge of desktop computer software for the development and use of spreadsheets, presentations, reports, and databases Must possess excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal, organizational, judgment and decision making, and complex problem solving skills Post offer drug screen and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Group, LLC.
