Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Contract Administrator to join our Contracts team in supporting the Global Tactical Programs Operating Unit and is based in Linthicum, MD. This is a full-time on-site position with a 9/80 work schedule. Occasional travel to customer sites is required and estimated at 10%. As a member of the Combat Sensors Business Unit, the Contract Administrator will be responsible for supporting contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide and ensure proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer requirements. This position requires a basic understanding of DOD contracting, excellent communication skills and strong organizational and customer service skills. Associated responsibilities include: Administer, extend, negotiate and terminate standard and nonstandard contracts. Act as primary interface with customer for contractual issues. Support proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Review and analyze customer Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to understand Statements of Work (SOW)/contract requirements and advise the program team on terms and conditions. Ensure company proposals are fully responsive to customer requirements, coordinate appropriate levels of internal review for approval prior to submission. Manage proposal fact-finding and conduct negotiations with customer with support from the program team. Collaborate with other functional groups (finance, supply chain, mission assurance, legal, etc.) during all phases of the contract lifecycle. Basic Qualifications for Contract Administrator: Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience in contracts or related field - OR - a Master's degree with 1 year of experience in contracts or related field. We will consider 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. Experience using MS Office Suite, (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office 365) and Adobe. US Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Recent experience as a Contracts Professional in the defense industry Strong working knowledge of the FAR, DFAR and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations Experience with various contract types including Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Cost Reimbursable, and Time and Material contracts Familiarity with Northrop Grumman businesses, policies and practices Active Clearance Northrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment which encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company.
