Senior Principal Contract Administrator

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector, Navigation, Targeting and Surveillance Division (NT&S), is seeking a Senior Principal Contract Administrator based out of our Rolling Meadows, IL office to join our Restricted Electronic Warfare Systems (EWS) Operating Unit (OU) in the Electronic Warfare and Targeting (EWT) Business Unit (BU). This position has a required hybrid schedule, with a minimum of 3 days in the office and requires a Secret clearance to start. In this role you will support the restricted programs and will report to the Restricted Electronic Warfare Systems Contracts Manager. What You'll Get to Do: Administer, extend, negotiate, and terminate standard and nonstandard contracts. Apply sound judgment to proposal strategy, contract formation, and customer relationships. Review and analyze customer Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to understand Statements of Work (SOW)/contract requirements and advise the program team on contractual terms and conditions. Ensure company proposals are fully responsive to prospective customer requirements, prepare proposal submittal documents, and coordinate appropriate levels of internal review and approval. Manage fact-finding, evaluation notices, and negotiations between customer and program team. Knowledge of Competitive Bid and Proposals Build knowledge of FAR/DFARS. Knowledge of Standard Prime Contractor Flowdowns. Knowledge of Restricted Access Programs and Procedures. Manage and administer Contractual Data Requirements List (CDRLs) and other reports. Advise management of contractual rights and obligations. Compile and analyze data. Maintain historical information through the closeout process. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum 8 years of experience in Contracts, Subcontracts, Business Management, or related field; or a Master's Degree or JD with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Contracts, Subcontracts, Business Management, or related field. We will accept 12 yrs of experience in lieu of a degree. Experience providing advice on a wide range of contractual and business-related matters including proposal strategy, estimating & pricing, audits, contract formation and customer relationships. Experience interacting with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations. Experience gathering, organizing, and relaying information and collaborating in a team environment. Experience with FAR, DFAR and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations. Experience with various contract types including, Cost-Plus Incentive Fee (CPIF), Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Time and Material (T&M) contracts. Active Secret level clearance is required. Preferred Qualifications: Recent experience as a Contracts Professional in the defense industry. Experience with the daily use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and other PC programs and software.
