The Engagement Specialist, Massive Data Institute, McCourt School of Public Policy, Georgetown University, is responsible for supporting the Massive Data Institute's Data Governance Team by leading strategic development, logistics management, and meeting planning efforts. Additional duties include, but are not limited to: Support strategic initiatives and planning for the Data Governance Team, Identify opportunities to advance the mission of the Data Governance Team, both within and outside the Georgetown ecosystem, Conduct research and reviews to explore the state of the science across relevant areas, Spearhead social media strategy, outreach, and content, Develop public-facing content to highlight and story tell scientific and public-policy advancements, Manage complex in-person, hybrid, and virtual meetings, and Coordinate onboarding and projects for research assistants. Work Interactions

The Engagement Specialist will support the MDI Governance Group mission focused on securely and responsibly using large administrative datasets to improve programs and outcomes. The Engagement Specialist will work with other MDI Research Professors in the Governance Group to engage clients, and with a broad team of researchers, fellows, and research assistants. The Engagement Specialist, working closely with PIs in the Governance Group, will develop the team's programming priorities and formulate budgets for all outreach and events. S/he will track spending and oversee planning and execution of outreach and events, and serve as primary liaison to MDI and McCourt Communications. Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree 3-5 years of experience in meeting planning/logistics, communication and liaising across stakeholders, with preference given to candidates with experience supporting academic social sciences team and government entities, and technical writing Experience managing projects Experience planning and coordinating events and workshops Experience managing social media accounts and tailoring content to organizational goals Knowledge of social science and data science research Knowledge of budgetary, travel, and regulatory compliance Experience in program development Work Mode Designation

Pay Range: The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $54,616.00 - $100,493.33 Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
