A Day In The Life Of This Position May Include
Research and consult with clients on tax-efficient structuring for the private client environment. Facilitate client understanding of international tax development implications and make recommendations for pass-through entities and individuals. Conduct primary and secondary review of complicated or complex international tax returns, particularly Forms 5471, 5472, 8865, 8858, 3520-A, and 8288. Ability to work with foreign trusts, international gift and estate planning and pre-immigration tax planning. Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on tax projects and assess performance for engagement and year-end reviews. Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, make sure deadlines are met, and lead change efforts effectively. Consult, work with, and service client to make recommendations on business and process improvement and serve as a business advisor to client. Work closely with partners, managers, and staff to integrate practice development skills into a team approach to client service and new business development. Team with partners and senior managers on proposals and business development calls. Maintain strong client relations and cross-sell services within the assigned group of clients. What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in accounting. CPA, master's in taxation, LLM in Taxation, or JD. Five to ten years of progressive tax consulting experience. Experience with a Big 4 firm, law firm, or large corporate tax department of a multinational company. Excellent analytical, technical, and tax accounting / technology skills with proficiency in US GAAP and tax compliance and consulting. At least three (3) years' experiences focused on international taxation. Preferred experience with inbound and outbound transaction consulting, multi-national corporation experience, transfer pricing, foreign tax credit utilization.
