Bilingual Legal Assistant (Spanish)

We are a fast-growing law firm founded by forward-thinking lawyers. We are looking to hire an experienced full-time

Legal Assistant with a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Bankruptcy Legal Assistant in a consumer bankruptcy law firm.

We are looking for an "A+" player with the talent to help us expand our entrepreneurial business. You will need to bring a high level of energy, positivity, and a can-do attitude to work every day.

Skills and experience are required and valued, but attitude, character, personality, and integrity are also important. The ideal candidate will have a growth mindset, an ability to relate to people in crisis, and a good sense of humor. The Legal Assistant position is full-time, so you

MUST

be able to work in person in our Fort Lauderdale office 40 hours per week. Some of the benefits include health insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, retirement, and PTO.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include: •Interacting with clients and building relationships with them by phone, e-mail, and Zoom •Communicating with clients to gather information and documentation needed to file for bankruptcy •Gathering and reviewing documents from clients •Entering information in Best Case for the paralegal •Providing front-line customer service to clients, potential clients, community contacts, referral sources, and others •Helping clients troubleshoot technical issues over the phone and through e-mail •Doing basic data entry and office support tasks (copying, faxing, scanning, and mailing)

Qualifications

Skills and experience required: •A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Bankruptcy Legal Assistant in a bankruptcy law firm (representing debtors) is required •Must be fluent in speaking and writing Spanish •Friendly, personable, likable, and professional •Understanding and empathetic •Able to take directions and follow instructions •Able to prioritize your time and complete tasks accurately and timely •Dependable •Flexible •Know when to ask for help •Able to learn and switch gears quickly •Be a results-driven achiever •Detail oriented •Creative, innovative, organized, and efficient •Proficient in Microsoft Windows, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word •Superb communication skills - both written and verbal •Exceptional active listener •Team player •Willing to pitch in whenever and wherever necessary •Have stamina, drive, and perseverance to handle pressure well
