Power Animal Hospital is located in Mesa, AZ. We are a full-service animal hospital and welcome both emergency treatment cases as well as pet patients in need of routine medical, surgical, and dental care. From the services we offer to the caring veterinary staff, we are known by the community to exceed pet owners' expectations and provide compassionate care and tenderness to animals. Our goal is to reduce some emergency visits through prevention programs. We understand that situations can and do arise unexpectedly. However, our prevention programs can help pet owners avoid some emergencies and expensive treatment. With routine wellness visits, up-to-date vaccinations, parasite prevention, and dental care, our veterinarians in Mesa can help keep your pet healthy and well. If you are a passionate and caring team player, please apply today! We are looking for a Certified Veterinary Technician to join our expanding team and help us provide exceptional experiences. By joining our organization as a Veterinary Technician, you will have access to a peer network of over 5,000 individuals, continuing education allowances, and learning and development programs to support you in achieving your career goals. Position skills: professional client communication and education, obtaining medical histories and symptoms. Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals. Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols for fellow staff members. Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, anesthesia monitoring. Proficient in dental prophylaxis. Position Requirements: Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.
