This position is a 12-hour shift and will support the MRI department on steady nights from 6 PM to 6 AM, Monday through Friday, with alternating weekend coverage. The nurse will work primarily in the MRI department and will support the IR department when needed. Our state-of-the-art facility boasts a one hundred-million-dollar investment in our four interventional labs, five CTs, four MRIs, fluoroscopy, general x-ray, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. As a Radiology RN, you will provide professional nursing care in a perioperative setting, circulating during invasive procedures and providing moderate sedation. You'll collaborate closely with radiologists and technologists in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, specializing in neurointervention (including embolic stroke, arterial occlusion, tumor treatments, vascular access device insertion, biopsies, arterial and venous embolization/thrombectomy, and TIPS). This role requires meticulous attention to detail and sterile technique, similar to an OR setting. Core Clinical Skills: Assessment:

Comprehensive physical and physiological monitoring, interpretation of findings. Medication Management:

Administration (all routes), knowledge of effects/interactions, accurate calculations. Respiratory Support:

Airway management, ventilator management, oxygen therapy. Cardiovascular Support:

ECG interpretation, management of vasoactive drugs, hemodynamic monitoring. Invasive Line Management:

Insertion of peripheral IV and maintenance of central lines and arterial lines. Infection Control:

Strict adherence to protocols. General Overview: This role provides nursing care to the patient undergoing Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology procedures. Collaborates with the patient and physician to provide care. High volume of neurointervention: These are invasive procedures much like the OR sterile, often times with anesthesia. Essential Responsibilities: Conducts pre-procedural assessment. Participates in the care of patients undergoing Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology procedures. Provides proper documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards and requirements. Maintains a safe environment for patients during their Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology procedures. Monitors the surgical environment to ensure that aseptic technique is followed by the surgical team.
