MRI Technologist
Qualifications: Required: ARRT registered MRI. Has qualifications and experience determined to be adequate by Director of department and lead technologist to operate equipment and evaluate images obtained. Must have high school diploma or equivalent. Lic/Reg/Cert: Oregon licensure and ARRT registered in MRI. Typical Physical/Mental Demands: Must pull call on rotational basis for 24 hour coverage in MRI. Medium to very heavy physical demand (lifting and moving patients 100 to 300 lbs must be able to work independently as well as with patients hospital staff and physicians. Essential Job Functions: Maintains a positive and professional atmosphere for patients physicians and co-workers. Performs all duties of a MRI Technologist. Maintains a positive and professional atmosphere for patients. Demonstrates interpersonal skills necessary in order to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical or emotional stress and gather and exchange patient information with nursing personnel and physicians. Transfers and properly positions patients for examinations in order to obtain desired MRI results according to physician specifications. Provides immobilization as required and protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
