We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Communications Manager. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape and execute a comprehensive communications strategy. We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter who takes ownership of projects and is excited about building something truly exceptional. The Communications Manager will be responsible for designing and implementing cohesive marketing, PR, and communication strategies for the National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories (NEIDL). This individual will be a strong writer responsible for the annual reports, newsletters, website, and social media platforms by sourcing content from research teams, telling compelling stories about research happening at this prestigious center, and promoting these stories within and beyond BU channels. This includes responsibility for print collateral and reporting, website management, event promotion, and special projects. This individual will be an energetic, creative, self-starter who builds relationships with faculty and administrative staff across the NEIDL. Required Skills Bachelor's Degree and 5-8 years of experience or Master's Degree and 3-5 years of experience The National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories (NEIDL) is part of a national network of secure facilities that study infectious diseases. The NEIDL is dedicated to the development of diagnostics, vaccines, and therapeutics to combat emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases. In addition to Bio Safety Level (BSL)-2 and BSL-3 laboratories, the NEIDL houses BSL-4 laboratories that will operate at the highest level of containment. The NEIDL will add to the growing life sciences industry in the region, throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and across the country.
