In this position you will be responsible for assisting the underwriting staff and underwriting managers in obtaining and evaluating underwriting information for new and renewal accounts by working directly with appointed brokers and their support staff. Support underwriting staff by gathering and evaluating information for new and renewal accounts. Work directly with brokers on marketing, underwriting, and policy file maintenance. Review submissions, manage renewals/expirations, and handle minor underwriting and service tasks. Prepare quotes, review policy wordings, and coordinate binders and policy issuance. Ensure accurate premium booking and assist with in-force account management. Provide policy and file information to claims staff as needed. Streamline communication and processes between underwriting, operations, and brokers. Serve as backup for underwriting communications. This role is designed to transition into an Underwriter position upon successful completion of training and achievement of key competencies. The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $59,000.00 to a maximum of $65,000.00. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee's contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
