About the Role
At Elmwood, our Account Directors are not just client partners, they're growth architects. We're looking for a business-minded leader who thrives on growing client relationships, spotting white space opportunities, and shaping brand impact. If you're a sharp strategic thinker with a proven track record of expanding accounts, bringing creative energy to problem solving, and influencing senior stakeholders, we'd love to meet you. Requirements
Client Leadership: Build strong, day-to-day relationships with senior clients, acting as their go-to for clarity, insight, and momentum•Serve as a trusted partner, listening deeply, navigating complexity, and providing strategic POVs that push thinking Actively uncover new opportunities through business fluency, brand instinct, and proactive engagement Seek and thrive in client-facing environments, comfortable in workshops, presentations, and strategic dialogues Foster partnership behaviors across both teams, driving transparency, collaboration, and alignment
Engagement Leadership: Own the orchestration of large, multi-workstream engagements, ensuring strategy, design, and delivery stay aligned Lead briefs, work sessions, and reviews to keep work focused, purposeful, and pushing toward impact Partner with Strategy, Creative and Resourcing to shape timelines, resource plans, and decision pathways Guide internal teams through complexity, anchoring in client goals, brand ambition, and delivery excellence Elevate the work by ensuring it ladders back to client intent and drives measurable brand outcomes
People Leadership: Own the narrative across leadership, internally and externally with sharp insights, summaries, and strategic POVs. Set a high bar for communication, collaboration, and leadership presence Role model partnership behaviors, across departments, clients, and studios Actively shape a healthy team culture, that blends accountability, ambition, and care Support talent development and resourcing decisions alongside the Head of Client Partnerships
Commercial Leadership: Drive the financial health of your accounts, owning forecasting, scope accuracy, and profitability Write smart, clear scopes of work that balance ambition with feasibility Lead client growth plans that identify whitespace opportunities and articulate a path to revenue expansion Drive commercial value by aligning strategic insight with agency services, beyond just scoping requests Ensure all work is delivering both brand value for the client and business value for Elmwood
