MRI Technologist Position

This position is responsible for working directly with patients and assisting radiologists and/or staff physicians while performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations in concordance with physicians orders. This professionally trained person will be responsible for the operation of MRI scanners, flow rate injectors, patient monitoring systems, and a picture archiving system. This position is responsible for the use of radiographic supplies including gadolinium contrast while providing patient care and patient safety as established by department standards. This position is responsible for performing a variety of basic secretarial, clerical and housekeeping functions such as customer service, examination and work area cleaning, telephone communications, computer system data entry, information retrieval (HIS, RIS, PACS), and infection control. This position, in addition to superb technical skills, will also require the ability to follow the CRMC service commitments to customers and fellow staff. Other duties as assigned. Degree/Diploma Obtained: Associates Required Additional Education Requirements: Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology. Certification / Licensure: Radiological Technologist Required BLS Healthcare Provider Required Additional Certification Details: Graduate of an AMA accredited school of radiologic technology. Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology as a Radiographer and MR technologist. Or become certified in MR one year (12 months) after completion of all MR competency exams. We have 1 open Full-Time MRI Technologist position (shift below). The pay range is $30.00-$40.00/hr., depending on experience as to where they fall at within the pay range. Will require Call Time. Shift: Monday-Friday 2:30p-11p + Call Sign On: We also offer a sign on bonus or loan forgiveness with an 18 month contract post orientation (with terms): 2+ years experience- $7,500 sign on bonus OR- up to $3,500 loan forgiveness with an 18 month contract post orientation Shift Differentials are as follows: $1.15 (if work 4 or more hours between 3p-11p) $1.65 (if work 4 or more hours between 11p-7a) $3.00 (weekends- if work between 11p Friday night to 7a Monday morning) $4.00 (holidays) All candidates will need at least 2 years of experience and must not be within 50 miles of our hospital. We can also offer up to $5,000 relocation reimbursement with receipts (must meet federal government guidelines) to run concurrent with the 2 year OR 18 month contract. The terms of the contract are: Must sign an employment contract and adhere to the terms and conditions for 2 years OR 18 months post orientation Must agree to work 1 additional shift per payroll period post orientation for 2 years OR 18 months as determined by the hospital. If there is not a need for the employee to work the additional shift during the pay period, the employee will not be considered in violation of their contract Must agree to work full-time in the department in which they were hired for 2 years OR 18 months post orientation Additional shift per pay period will include the following: Over-time over 40 hours worked per week. Shift bonus will apply at the clock per policy. Should the employee not complete the contract, they will be required to repay all monies as defined per contract.
