Job Location: Cullman Regional Medical Center - Cullman, AL Position Type: Full Time Job Shift: Day Job Category: Admin - Clerical Job Summary
Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions. Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates. Auditing timekeeping records, benefits deductions, and ensuring accuracy in pay calculations. Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices. Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors. Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures. Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests. Performs other duties as assigned. Demonstrates and encourages team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences. Upholds and promotes patient safety and quality. Qualifications
Education: Associate's degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience: Minimum five to eight years' experience. Additional Skills/Abilities: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Proficient with payroll software Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership skills Knowledgeable in managing processes Knowledge with system implementations a plus ADP / Paycom knowledge a plus
