As a Security Officer at MCH, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment within the hospital premises. You will be responsible for monitoring and enforcing security protocols, responding to incidents, and collaborating with various departments to ensure the overall safety and well-being of everyone on site. Responsibilities:

Guards hospital property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry Patrols lobbies, corridors, and public rooms, confers with management, interviews guests and employees, and interrogates persons to detect infringements and investigate disturbances, complaints, thefts, vandalisms, and accidents. Patrols public areas to detect fires, unsafe conditions, and missing or inoperative safety equipment. Examines doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure. Obtains assistance for accident victims and writes accident reports. Assists management and enforcement officers in emergency situations Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles, and apprehends or expels persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts. Warns or cautions careless persons. Inspects equipment and machinery to ascertain if tampering has occurred. Watches for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked. Sounds alarm or calls police or fire department by telephone in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons. Permits authorized persons to enter property. Records data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning of machinery or equipment, for use of supervisory staff. Performs engineering duties and sets thermostatic controls to maintain specified temperature in buildings or cold storage rooms. Tends furnace or boiler as needed. Liaise with local law enforcement as needed and report incidents to the appropriate authorities. Regulates vehicle and pedestrian traffic at campus entrance to maintain orderly flow. Completes comprehensive mechanical checklist during off-shift hours. Clears main walks and entrances of ice and snow for a continued period of time up to 40 minutes. Calls contractor for plowing and sanding as needed. Calls in on-call Engineering staff as needed. Uphold the values of MCH: Compassion, Collaboration, Honesty, and Respect. Other duties as assigned. Requirements:

Must receive Basic Training Certification from The International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety within one year of employment. CPR certification required within 90 days of hire. Must maintain recertification every 2 years. Valid Driver's License Working Hours:

This is a per diem position. This Per diem position may be asked to work a variety of shifts to cover needs. The Security Department covers the hospital 24/7 thru the year. Salary:

Three years hospital security work experience required. Previous law enforcement experience preferred. Basic computer skills needed. Must have a valid and current NH Driver's License and a good driving record. Licenses & Certifications
