Maintenance Tech II (2nd Shift)

Hours: Monday - Friday 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm Pay Rate: $33.63/hr Location: Urbana, Ohio 43078 Experience: At least 3 years of experience within industrial maintenance, heavy industrial machining experience preferred. Summary: Maintenance technicians will work independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks. They will troubleshoot issues, repair equipment failures, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as conveyors, compressors, motors, and pumps. Repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, etc. as needed Perform work order repairs Able to set up and operate welders, drill press, grinder, hand tools, and other metalworking equipment. Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, and articulating booms. Participate in plant safety, health, and environmental programs. Conduct yourself professionally and courteously. Maintain 5s standards in the plant. Safety Requirements

Wear safety-toed footwear, safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection and additional personal protective equipment where required. Follow lock out tag out procedures. Physical Requirements

Stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach frequently throughout the work shift. Occasionally lift up to 80 pounds to waist level; frequently lift 25

50 pounds to waist level and up to 25 pounds above the shoulders. Must be able to climb ladders and work at elevations of up to 90 feet. Working Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, dusty conditions, and high noise environments. The employee may be required to work outdoors in all conditions. The employee will regularly use cleaning solvents, oils, lubricants, and other substances. Education And Experience Requirements

A high school diploma or its equivalent is required. Post-secondary education and/or a technical trade certificate preferred. Two years' experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and basic electrical repair preferred. Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings. Ability to write detailed repair reports and good verbal communication. Assist team lead or supervisor in the repair of the following equipment: Salvagnini punching and panel bending Trumpf punching and bending ABB, MotoMan, and Lincoln robots Press brakes in general Paint line conveyor and paint process systems Prior experience and use of basic Microsoft Office computer software, and the ability to learn how to effectively use maintenance software to input data and research parts.
