Electrician Position
In general, all Electrician roles are required to repair, install, replace, program, and test all electrical circuits, and equipment. Periodically perform or assist others in routine to moderately complex repairs or installation of automatic electrical and electronic controls. Perform routine electrical/electronic predictive and preventative maintenance on mill equipment. Responsible for the repair, modification, and maintenance of a variety of electrical and electronic equipment. Perform tasks like wiring circuits, replacing components, and repairing electronic devices. Able to use hand and power tools and to understand proper use, including multi-meter and Megger & knowledge of 480-volt 3 Phase AC to perform test readings. Remain current in technical changes or equipment designs by attending classes as needed. Work rotating shifts, which includes nights, holidays, weekends, and overtime as scheduled or required. Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment and completing all required training. Other duties as assigned. Lock-out procedures. Electrical circuitry and components, including circuit breakers, motors, and controllers, control devices, motor theory, rigging, precision alignments. Reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
