Family Practice/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

This Locum Tenens position offers a Nurse Practitioner the chance to step into meaningful work in a community that values accessible, quality healthcare. Located in a picturesque Alaskan town, you'll join a dedicated team providing full-scope primary care to patients who truly need it. The ideal candidate will also have strong urgent care skills. This is a M-F position with no call, providing you with a steady rhythm, and leaving your evening and weekends open to explore the region's natural beauty, or simply recharge. Location: Southern Alaska
Job Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Contract
Date Range: September 2nd, 2025 March 1st, 2026 (option to take the full assignment, or half!)
Compensation: Hourly Rate + Holiday Pay

Key Job Details:

• Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
• No Call!
• Compensation Details:
  • $98.00 hourly rate
  • $147.00 holiday hourly rate (limited holidays apply)

Responsibilities:

• Patient Volume: Averages 15-20 per day
• Support staff are available as needed

Position Requirements:

• Active Alaska State Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
• Board Certification
• Active BLS
• ACLS & PALS preferred, but not required
• Active DEA registration
• COVID vaccination
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• 2+ years' experience preferred for NP working in family medicine
• Must have solid urgent care experience
• Must be able to see a full range of ages for primary and urgent care needs
• Must be culturally sensitive and willing to embrace the native community and their culture
