Facility:
This well-established 32-bed Level III community NICU provides comprehensive neonatal care services with excellent pediatric subspecialty support. The facility is a California Children's Services (CCS) designated hospital that participates in quality improvement initiatives such as the California Perinatal Quality Care Collaborative. With an average daily census of 12 newborns, the NICU offers a balanced clinical workload and collaborative environment.
Opportunity: Board Certified/Board Eligible - Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
This is a permanent, full-time position for a BC/BE Neonatologist to join a dedicated team with a supportive work/life balanced schedule in a thriving community setting.
Job Details:
- Provide high-quality clinical care in a 32-bed community Level III NICU
- Collaborate with pediatric subspecialty teams including surgery, cardiology, gastroenterology (GI), and ENT to manage complex neonatal cases
- Participate in the newborn service including direct patient care and family counseling
- Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to ongoing clinical excellence
- Work within a collegial team environment fostering a positive work/life balance
- Engage with hospital staff and administration to maintain and improve neonatal care standards
- Permanent position requiring residency within the immediate local area
- California Medical License required or ability to obtain
- 24/7 in-house coverage responsibilities
