Your Career
The ADEM (Autonomous Digital Experience Management) team is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to lead development of scalable, cloud-based digital experience monitoring and analysis services. You will manage a team of backend engineers building distributed systems and data pipelines on Kubernetes in GCP. This role requires strong technical judgment, leadership, and a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and service architecture.
Your Impact
- Lead a team building high-scale backend services deployed in Kubernetes on GCP
- Manage project delivery across the full software lifecycle
- Define technical strategy and architecture for core ADEM services
- Collaborate with Product, Architecture, and SRE teams to ensure performance, reliability, and security
- Promote best practices in CI/CD, observability, and automation
- Mentor and grow engineering talent
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Identify architectural and process improvements for scalability and performance
Qualifications
Your Experience
- 8+ years in backend or platform engineering, with 3+ years in leadership roles
- Proven experience managing cloud applications on GCP (or AWS/Azure), especially GKE/Kubernetes
- Strong background in distributed systems, microservices, and APIs
- Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java
- Deep knowledge of GCP services: Compute Engine, GKE, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, IAM, VPC
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi) and CI/CD
- Familiarity with telemetry and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
- Understanding of networking, security, and scaling strategies in cloud environments
- Experience with large-scale data systems is a plus
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent military experience

Compensation Disclosure
The salary range for this role is $185,000 to $298,000 per year, depending on qualifications and location. Compensation may include stock and bonuses. More details on benefits are available here.
