Job Title: Java Developer
Location: Charlotte, NC
Employment Type: Full-time
About The Role
- Design and maintain scalable backend systems using Java (Spring Boot) and RESTful APIs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
- Build and optimize data pipelines, work with SQL/NoSQL databases, and leverage cloud platforms and big data technologies.
- Apply best practices in coding, testing, deployment, and system monitoring, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend systems using Java (Spring Boot, REST APIs).
- Build and optimize data pipelines and workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and processing. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to deliver high-quality data solutions.
- Work with SQL/NoSQL databases, data lakes, and cloud-based storage systems.
- Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production systems to ensure high availability and performance.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and agile ceremonies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6-7 years of hands-on experience in Java development.
- Strong experience with Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka, or Hadoop.
- Familiarity with ETL tools, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
