CTG is seeking a z/OS Application Architect to support one of our clients on a 4-month, fully remote contract!

Responsibilities include:

• n

  Working with z/OS configuration

  n
n
• n

  Configuring z/VM (zLinux)

  n
n
• n

  Performing scripting and administrative tasks in Unix/Linux environments (SSH, BASH)

  n
n
• n

  Using Python and developing or consuming RESTful APIs

  n
n
• n

  Collaborating with network engineers on mainframe security configuration

  n
n
• n

  (If applicable) Rebuilding predefined systems and subsystems on new hardware

  n
n

n

Requirements:

• n

  Fluency with z/OS configuration

  n
n
• n

  Experience with z/VM (zLinux)

  n
n
• n

  Experience with Unix/Linux scripting and administration

  n
n
• n

  Proficiency with Python and RESTful APIs

  n
n
• n

  Familiarity with mainframe security configuration

  n
n
• n

  Experience with system re-deployment is a plus

  n
n

n

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $64.50 to $67.50 per hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
