Salary: $24.50/hour minimum

Minimum Requirements:

n

Completion of eighth grade plus one (1) year paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience in building cleaning work.

n

Desired Qualifications:

n

Experience in building cleaning work;

n

Thorough knowledge of Health & Safety practices and regulations;

n

Thorough knowledge of disinfection control;

n

Knowledge of building mechanical systems;

n

Ability to schedule work-loads, supervise and follow written and oral direction;

n

Knowledge of computer programs and e-mail systems;

n

Responds to building emergencies;

n

Flexible schedule regarding work hours;

n

Coordinates substitute assignments and training; . Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position; . Ability to supervise and get along with others;

n

Daily attendance is expected.

n

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

n

Performs normal operator adjustments and routine service to operational equipment such as but not limited to: boilers or heating system, compressors, unit ventilators, fans, generators, chillers and all custodial maintenance and grounds care equipment;

n

Performs routine preventive maintenance and minor repair of or facilitates required repairs to: building structures, plumbing, electrical, ventilation systems, and operating equipment;

n

Responsible for outside grounds maintenance including but not limited to: Lawn mowing, trimming of grass, trees and shrubbery, flower beds maintenance, snow removal, and the proper operation, repair and reports related to playground equipment;

n

Maintains inventory and procurement of custodial maintenance equipment, supplies and materials, is responsible for the receipt of all incoming supplies and materials; - Trains staff regarding proper cleaning techniques, equipment and material use, and provides staff with the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE);

n

Assist in proper emergency evacuation procedures;

n

On call for returning to the facility for any emergency (break-ins, broken windows, fire alarms etc.);

n

Other duties as assigned.
