ABOUT THE JOB
The Process Engineer serves as a technical leader responsible for driving performance improvements, loss elimination, and sustainable productivity within a manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in supporting strategic initiatives aligned with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Zero Loss Culture principles. The Process Engineer ensures operational excellence, capacity optimization, and equipment/system reliability by leading capability development, coaching, and technical execution.   This position is ideal for a driven professional with a strong foundation in engineering, continuous improvement methodologies, and a passion for fostering cultural transformation on the production floor.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Technical Leadership & Performance Improvement
  • Lead initiatives to eliminate process and equipment losses through data analysis and root cause problem-solving.
  • Improve equipment reliability and performance through TPM strategies and base condition restoration.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce variability.
Capability Building & Coaching
  • Coach teams on Daily Management Systems (DMS), including Centerlining (CL), First Pass Quality (FPQ), and Clean Inspect Lubricate (CIL).
  • Train and mentor on tools such as 5-Why, Fishbone, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Build and standardize technical work practices to raise skill levels and ensure consistent performance.
Loss Elimination & Continuous Improvement
  • Own and maintain loss trees, capability glide paths, and system KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead rapid changeover improvements to increase flexibility and reduce planned downtime.
  • Collaborate across Maintenance, Food Safety & Quality (FSQ), and Operations for integrated improvement.
Capital & Innovation Projects
  • Provide technical leadership in capital planning, commercialization, and new equipment commissioning.
  • Transfer R&D initiatives to operations, ensuring technical capability and quality control readiness.
Data Systems & Analysis
  • Maintain data integrity and apply statistical tools to evaluate performance and identify opportunities.
  • Implement and support digital systems to visualize and respond to key performance deviations.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Education/Certification:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field)
Experience:
  • 5–7 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated success in driving performance improvements and loss elimination
  • Strong technical leadership and cross-functional coaching experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in food, beverage, or CPG manufacturing
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
  • Expertise in SPC and TPM/IWS deployment
  • Familiarity with centerlining, rapid changeovers, and quality systems
Knowledge (Level):
  • Project management – Expert
  • Lean/TPM and IWS methodologies – Expert
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, database tools) – Journey
  • Technical training practices – Expert
