Primary Role:

n

The Account Administrator works closely with the Plan Analyst/Producer/Account Executive in marketing and presentation of renewal and new Employee Benefit Plans. This role assists the Account Manager with the day to day customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

n
    n
  • n

    Work closely with Plan Analysts, Account Managers or Producer/AE for specific training and mentoring

    n
  • n
  • n

    Assist other Account Administrators or Producer/AE in marketing/renewal process

    n
  • n
  • n

    Request marketing data from clients and/or carriers

    n
  • n
  • n

    Assist in analyzing quotes received to determine best options

    n
  • n
  • n

    Produce spreadsheets and reports using applicable computer applications

    n
  • n
  • n

    Assist with new enrollments and terminations as directed by Account Manager

    n
  • n
  • n

    Acquire working knowledge of BMS (Benefit Point)

    n
  • n
  • n

    Enter and maintain group and policy information in BMS (BenefitPoint) as direct by Account Manager

    n
  • n
  • n

    Working knowledge of carrier websites

    n
  • n
  • n

    Update client records on a daily/weekly/monthly basis

    n
  • n
  • n

    Assists in creating presentation materials for clients

    n
  • n
  • n

    Work closely with Producer/AE/Plan Analysts throughout annual renewal and/or new business process providing administrative support and analysis skills to meet case timeline targets

    n

  • n

    Assist in negotiation renewal increases and options

    n
  • n
  • n

    Communicate with carriers in gathering information on new products and market changes and assist with ancillary product presentations to clients

    n
  • n
  • n

    Answer phones, providing information and receiving information to/from clients for Producer/AE

    n
  • n
  • n

    Input timely and accurate information/documentation in BMS (BenefitPoint)

    n
  • n
  • n

    Back up and support Account Managers/ Producer/Account Executive, to meet deadlines

    n
  • n
  • n

    Cross-train in various other areas, as identified by Team

    n
  • n
  • n

    Assist with special projects, as assigned

    n
  • n
  • n

    Performs other duties as assigned

    n

  • n

Experience and Education

    1-3 Years Office Experience (Accounting Experience a Plus)

    Bachelor's Degree desired, but not required

    High school diploma or equivalent required

    L & H License required or must be able to obtain within 120 days of hire

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Power Point; follow guidelines on working in the BMS (BenefitPoint) for premium efficiency with your team.
