Position Summary
Are you a skilled maintenance engineer looking to take your career to the next level? Join our team and respond to guest repair requests while ensuring our facilities are in top condition! You will communicate with guests and resolve maintenance issues with little to no supervision while performing preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.
In this role, you will:
- Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machines.
- Identify and operate shut-off valves for various equipment.
- Manage maintenance inventory, requisitioning parts and supplies as needed.
- Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs.
- Display advanced skills in reading blueprints and electrical schematics related to plumbing and HVAC.
- Demonstrate proficiency in at least three technical disciplines like air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, and more.
- Safely perform complex repairs in compliance with company and local codes.
- Troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment and systems within the hotel.
- Utilize the Lockout/Tagout system before conducting maintenance work.
- Train and mentor fellow engineering team members as necessary.
You will also be responsible for ensuring safety protocols are followed, maintaining a clean and professional appearance, and actively engaging with guests to provide exceptional service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent with vocational or technical background.
- Experience: Extensive experience in general maintenance and at least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
- Licenses: Valid Driver's License and Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification.
