Role: SRE Engineer - Identity
Location: San Jose, CA (5 Days/Week Onsite)
Duration: 6+ Months (Possible Extension)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain identity solutions (authentication, authorization, directory services) using Okta .
  • Work on Okta as the primary IAM platform, addressing existing implementation challenges and improving the setup across SSO, MFA, directory sync, workflows, and API integrations.
  • Develop and own end-to-end Terraform workflows (plan, build, test, deploy) specifically for Okta automation and ServiceNow integrations .
  • Write and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) scripts, being strong in at least one language (Python preferred, Go also acceptable) .
  • Integrate identity solutions with CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment and monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across identity platforms, ensuring high availability, resilience, and compliance with security standards.
  • Collaborate closely with DevOps/SRE teams to enforce zero-trust security models and IAM best practices.
  • Document architecture, processes, incident resolution, and provide knowledge transfer on identity systems.
Mandatory Skills:
  • Experience: 5+ years in identity management and infrastructure automation.
  • Identity Management: Strong experience with Okta (must-have), including workflows, API integrations , and ServiceNow integrations. Familiarity with OAuth/SAML, LDAP/Active Directory.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code: Deep expertise in Terraform , with full lifecycle ownership .
  • Programming: Proficiency in Python (preferred) or Go for automation and scripting (coding test will be part of the interview process).
  • CI/CD Integration: Experience with tools like Jenkins , GitHub Actions , etc.
  • SRE Fundamentals: Monitoring (e.g., Prometheus , Grafana ), incident response, SLA/SLO adherence.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Certifications: Okta Certified Professional, HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate.
  • Platform Experience: Kubernetes RBAC, Service Mesh (Istio, Linkerd).
  • Strong portfolio/projects demonstrating practical experience with Okta , Terraform , and ServiceNow integrations.
