The principle purpose of this job description is to outline the roles and responsibility of a Manufacturing Engineer. The Manufacturing Engineer is to act as the liaison between Engineering and Operations providing engineering support by troubleshooting manufacturing process in machining and Cold Heading then implement timely solutions in order to maintain the continuity of production flow, also to monitor current and debug new methods, equipment and develop procedures to ensure total system efficiencies.
nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES
n1. Provide constant communication between Engineering and Operations.
n2. Support Operations by providing technical support and engineering data.
n3. Support dept by providing feedback, data and other information needed to process parts.
n4. Design and installs equipment.
n5. Support in developing detailed layouts for equipment and processes.
n6. Utilize CAD Software, specifically AutoCAD, to design and modify blueprints and electrical schematics
n7. Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate production setups
n8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve manufacturing processes
n9. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues during production runs
n10. Perform machine setups for production runs and ensure proper functionality
n11. Utilize GD&T principles to ensure product quality and compliance
n12. Conduct PLC troubleshooting to identify and resolve any issues
n13. Experience with PPAP process and ability to develop and implement new processes
n14. Experience with machining and/or cold heading processes a plus
n15. Contribute to product design and development, providing valuable insights and recommendations
n16. Provide constant communication between Engineering & Operations

n19. Calculation production and material costs
n20. Review & recommend continuous improvements to manufacturing processes and efficiencies
n21. Identifies need for established work procedure and standardized method
n22. Document and communicate work procedure and standardized methods as needed
n23. Identifies need for training and communicates need to appropriate manager
n24. Perform all other duties as assigned, instructed, or directed
n25. Use, understanding, and execution of LEAP/5S, HSE standards
nEQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE
n1. Plant ERP system (Currently Plex)
n2. Proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
n3. AutoCAD 2D and 3D software

nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
n• Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and
nexperience. Two (2) to five (5) years of relevant work experience in CNC machining and/or coldheading/manufacturing; eight (8) + if no degree in related field.
n• Experience setting up CNC equipment and writing programs.
n• Knowledge and understanding of quality instruments and how to use them.
n• Experience with business side of operation (quoting, customer relations, production planning, etc.)
n• Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills
n• Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment
n• Proven negotiation and contracting skills
n• Demonstrated effective organizational and analytical skills
