Role Overview
As a Lead Embedded Firmware Engineer, you will:
- Collaborate with the team to design, develop, and debug firmware for embedded systems.
- Act as a technical leader and mentor for junior engineers.
- Participate in firmware architecture design.
- Work closely with hardware and software teams to create scalable, modular, and maintainable solutions.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Position Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in firmware development.
- Strong proficiency in C & C++.
- A capacity to contribute to product ideas, features, and cost reductions.
- Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle methodologies.
- Understanding of product security practices.
- Experience leading product safety discussions.
- Linux OS experience is a plus.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Major Responsibilities
- Independently design embedded firmware and software.
- Develop specifications in collaboration with project managers and customers.
- Provide continuous engineering support throughout the product lifecycle.
- Engage with customers and internal teams to showcase capabilities.
- Mentor and guide fellow engineers on firmware design and testing.
- Review and approve firmware products.
- Coordinate security efforts and knowledge transfer.
