nDUTIES
nDefine scope of technical programs and develop effective, quality solutions to challenges which involve unique or controversial problems. Creatively meet all company and industry requirements and apply site systems to achieve quality, timely and cost-effective results. Give quality guidance and assistance to less senior professionals on related tasks.
nApply technical experience in field of specialization or broad-based experience in multiple technical fields, to resolve complex problems.
nIncorporate advanced technical practices and a variety of complex features such as complicated
ntechnical requirements, application of new or special materials or processes and difficult coordination or oversight requirements into problem solving and program planning.
nProvide leadership in determining solutions to complex problems and be recognized as having expertise in a functional area(s) of technical expertise.
nProvide direction and position responsibility both inside and outside department lines on programs seeking new approaches to problems and new application of existing engineering or scientific principles.
nEvaluate the results of programs and prepares reports and recommendations based on these
nevaluations.
nIdentify and recommend improvements where established technology components and methodology are inadequate for solution.
nKeep informed of the advancement of technology as applied through one's area of technology.
nPrepare plans including schedules, budgets and personnel requirements for solving technical tasks identified by management.

nWork Hours: A 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRNS utilizes various work schedules including 5/8s (8 hour/day; five days per week), 4/10's (10 hours/day; four days per week), and 9/80's (9 hours/day, five days on week AA and four days on week BB. Work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each workday has 30- minute lunch. Overtime will be expected at times to meet deliverables and will be utilized at the discretion of the Manager.
nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
nEducation: Ph.D. degree in applicable science or engineering discipline and 5+ years' experience. OR A MS with 8+ years' experience. OR A BS with 10+ years' experience or more.
nExperience/Skills:
n- Personnel shall have technical knowledge of Commissioning/Startup Testing, including
nexperience working in the following technical areas/labor categories:

- Conduct of Startup Testing n
- Design reviews n
- Procedure development n
- Test Execution n
- Demonstrated previous experience with the use and implementation of Manual 5E, Startup Test
nProgram, and related directives and standards, or an equivalent Commissioning/Startup
nprogram.
n- Demonstrated previous experience in developing, reviewing, approval and presenting Technical
nWork Documents/Commissioning Test Procedures.
n- Demonstrated personal accountability for facility/project schedules, deadlines, budgets, and the
nsafe performance of work.
n- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” security clearance.
n- Demonstrated a minimum of 1 year of recent testing experience through support of the Department of Energy (DOE) or the commercial nuclear industry.
nOTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
nArea Security Access: : Clearance “Q” required. Subcontractor must have an active eFOCI registration and approved Facility Level Clearance with DOE / NNSA.
nCandidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred.
n- Startup Testing Execution qualification(s) Level II or III (per ASME NQA-1 test program)
nWork Environment / Physical Demands:
nWork is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Light to moderate lifting may be required for packages and other items, ability to walk short distances, may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
