nnPURPOSE O F POSITION:
nThe Product Engineer position is a key member of the Product Engineering team and will provide engineering support for a range of medium and/or low voltage products through all phases of product development and manufacturing.
nnESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
nThe Product Engineer position with include but not be limited to the following functions:
n- n
- Primary point of contact (POC) and subject matter experts (SME) for medium and/or low voltage power distribution products. n
- Focus on testing and qualifying new products and processes, supporting the transition of those products and processes into manufacturing n
- Assist in the coordination and management of new product introduction schedules and activities, and cross-product issues throughout the product life cycle. n
- Organize, prepare, finalize and maintain documentation for production and commercial use. n
- Collaborate with other internal departments including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Engineering, etc. to ensure Product Engineering activities are aligned. n
- Collaborate with venders for product maintenance activities including product obsolescence and redesign. Coordinate action plans with internal teams to support product maintenance needs. n
- Provide engineering leadership throughout the product lifecycle. n
Competencies:

- Competency with medium voltage and/or low voltage switchgear products design and manufacturing, including knowledge of industry standards (UL 67, 891, 1558, 1008 and ANSI C37.20 and NEC/CEC). n
- Ability to be flexible with multi-tasking and changing priorities. n
- Ability to collaborate and work through ambiguity. n
- Demonstrated success collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams. n
- Highly effective written and verbal communication. n
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Word and Excel. n
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. n
Education and Experience:
n- n
- Minimum 4-year degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or related science field. n
- Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in the power distribution equipment or close-related industry n
