HireNow Staffing is actively recruiting for a structural engineering firm seeking experienced Project Managers to help lead and deliver complex building projects across California. These roles are ideal for technically strong engineers with a passion for shaping skylines, leading cross-functional teams, and driving successful client outcomes.
What You'll Be Leading
As a Project Manager, you'll take ownership of large-scale, ground-up and renovation projects involving steel and concrete structures. You'll guide a team of engineers and BIM designers while working closely with architects, contractors, and clients to bring projects to life efficiently, creatively, and collaboratively.
Your Core Responsibilities
- Drive structural projects from initial planning through completion
- Lead project teams engineers, modelers, and support staff
- Coordinate with clients and design partners to deliver innovative solutions
- Oversee technical reviews, design documentation, and detailing
- Manage schedules, budgets, and resource planning
- Uphold seismic design codes, compliance standards, and QA/QC practices
- Play a key role in client communication, retention, and future business generation
- 8+ years of structural engineering experience, focused on building design
- Active SE license
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering from a U.S.-based institution
- Expertise in Type I construction (steel & concrete)
- Experience with both ground-up (60-70%) and renovation projects
- Familiarity with mission-critical facilities
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Background working with DSA and HCAI/OSHPD
- Knowledge of ASCE 41 for seismic evaluation and retrofit projects
- Client-facing experience in sectors like healthcare, commercial, aviation, or education
