POSITION SUMMARY: Established forward thinking Engineering firm located in Durham, North Carolina is seeking an engineer with 5+ years of relevant experience in HVAC/mechanical system design as well as plumbing and fire protection systems design for educational, commercial and industrial facilities to expand its Durham, North Carolina Office.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
n- n
- Design of HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, and education facilities n
- Hydronic system (chilled and hot water) piping design as well as ductwork and mechanical equipment sizing is also required. n
- Understands construction plan documentation including architectural, structural and MEP systems n
- Knowledge of HVAC, Fire Protection, and Plumbing n
- Preparation of construction documents including drawings, specifications, calculations, and details n
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

- Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills n
- Demonstrate the ability to take projects from inception to completion n
- Detail Oriented n
- Skilled in design and calculation software, AutoCAD competency a plus n
- Ability to work independently with general instructions / guidance from project manager and produce the expected results. n
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

- BS in Mechanical engineering or equivalent degree/experience required n
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES REQUIRED

- Professional Engineering licensure preferred. n
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in the field and may be exposed to outside weather conditions. Work requires frequent and prolonged computer use. May occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

nnThe annual base salary range for this full-time position in the United States is $92,000 - $151,800 . This range represents a good faith estimate and is based on factors such as the role, level, and geographic location. The range shown reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for this position across all U.S. locations.
nnWithin this range, individual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors including skills, experience, education, and training.
