Are you a mission-driven safety leader ready to elevate impact beyond compliance? Our client, a respected industry leader in environmental services, is looking for a Health & Safety Manager with an oil and gas background who will champion a proactive, people-first safety culture across diverse field operations and office locations.
This is a high-visibility leadership role for a hands-on safety professional who thrives in dynamic environments. Reporting to senior leadership, the Health and Safety Manager will take ownership of safety programs across the organization-designing and delivering impactful training, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture where safety is not just a priority but a shared value.
What you will be Doing:

  • Lead and embed a company-wide safety vision focused on prevention, accountability, and team empowerment.
  • Develop and deliver engaging training programs-from new hire orientations to ongoing toolbox talks.
  • Oversee and maintain company HASP programs in alignment with OSHA and client-specific standards.
  • Conduct on-site audits, manage incident investigations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to project managers and field leadership, ensuring job site-specific safety plans are actionable and effective.
  • Maintain client compliance across third-party safety platforms (ISNetworld, Veriforce, Avetta, NCMS).
  • Provide field support with regular travel to project sites and regional offices.
Your Skills and Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience managing health and safety programs in environmental, construction, or industrial settings.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and a proven track record in safety audits, incident response, and risk reduction.
  • Trainer certifications (or ability to obtain) in CPR, PEC, HAZWOPER (40-Hour), and other relevant safety programs.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead independently and collaboratively.
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, or related field preferred.
  • Current Certified Safety Professional designation will be highly regarded.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a strong oil and gas background.
Working Conditions:
  • This is a hybrid role with travel required to various field locations, Travel requirement will vary from 25-50% depending on location of successful candidate.
